For 19 dollars, I thought this toy packed quite the punch! The Doc Johnson Velvet Touch Vibe probably has one of the most unique designs I've seen- instead of a remote or button, you simply twist the dial to your desired speed. This does make the toy require 2 hands to use, but I personally didn't have any issue with this. It's powered by 2 AA batteries (sold separately). At first, I was a little bit confused as to how it works; it doesn't seem to come with any kind of manual or instructions. But, once I got the batteries in correctly, I turned the dial and was surprised by how intense the "low" speed seemed! The volume of the toy was pretty consistent between all of the vibration speeds. It's not exactly as quiet as the Amazon listing says it is, but it's pretty quiet if you use it under a blanket. I wish I could recommend these. They’re so cute, the texture is unique and stimulating, and the diamond on the tail is sexy. However, they’re definitely not a beginner butt plug, and as someone who’s familiar with anal toys, I wouldn’t choose these. The main issue is that the stem of the plug isn't tapered and is very small. Designers do this to ensure a snug fit for the plug. Given that there are three size options included in this kit, I don’t think a snug fit is a problem at all, which makes this design choice feel careless more than anything. No tapering on the stem means they glide in smoothly since the head is your typical shape, but they stretch you suddenly on the way out because the area resting in your entrance is considerably smaller than the end of the plug. So, if you’re just starting out with anal play, these will probably be an uncomfortable way to start. If they were silicone, they’d have a little more give and be gentler on the body. Metal is a hard medium to begin with and requires some time and practice to get used to. If you’re really comfortable with anal play and have used similar plugs, these might be great for you - ignore my issues with the stem design. My worry would be that a beginner would tear or get turned off from backdoor play entirely by them. Overall, I don't recommend these, but you know your body better than anyone.

The Satisfyser Pro 2 is nearly the perfect toy. Its suctioning vibrations range from very gentle to bedshakingly powerful. It isn’t too bothersome while lying on your back. But to avoid being too annoyed when flipped over, I recommend positioning a pillow under your lower stomach to elevate your hips and get them higher than the vibrator. Otherwise, the toy will be rough on your wrists and hips.

The Swan Sceptre feels royal. It’s massive—the head is the size of my palm. And the vibrations are out of this world. They call their most intense setting “Earthquake Mode,” you could definitely measure it on the Richter Scale. Most toys that offer dual stimulation, clitoral and penetration, lack in at least one department. But not the Sceptre. The insertable length is actually long enough to insert. I am so happy with this wand. As with all near perfect toys, there are downsides. The insertable end doesn’t vibrate, it seems like a missed opportunity to me. And the buttons are horribly laid out. I’ve checked the website and user manual to confirm, but the top button has a “power” symbol on it, though it controls the speed. The bottom button button is the on/off switch and doesn’t affect speed at all. It’s just odd and it feels like the construction might have been off. The Nu Sensuelle Mini Plug is a small and compact anal toy that is sure to delight beginners and newcomers to back door play. This small device takes almost two hours to fully charge, and lasts anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes depending on which patterns or how intense of a vibration you decide. The one button design is easy to use, but you have to constantly press the button to cycle through each pattern, making it a little difficult to find the right pattern, as you have to keep cycling through, and have to completely cycle through and shut it off to start cycling through all over again. The flared base helps to make sure it doesn't get lost in your nether regions, however the rather skinny design doesn't help keep it in place, and often times I have had to reinsert it because the pattern or vibration caused it to slip out. The device itself isn't all together that loud, but can become louder with some of the more intense vibration and patterns. All in all this is a perfect little device for beginners, that is sure to delight for what it is.
